Running with the GRVL Runners

I was invited by a couple of UnitedLA runners to run with the GRVL Runners of Long Beach last Wednesday night. I figured, it’s summer… why not? So I made the drive from the Fullerton area.

 

The group met at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at 8pm. I barely arrived on time due to SoCal traffic!

We started out just a few minutes before dusk. The Long Beach horizon at sunset we beautiful!
About 2 miles into the run, we stopped for a group photo at the lighthouse.

The rest of the route took us through the Pike and down the Promenade where we ended in front of the Beachwood BBQ & Brewery.

This was a fun 3 mile run through downtown Long Beach with a very supportive group. The GRVL Runners are a relatively new running group. All strengths and paces are welcome. Their usual group runs are on Thursdays but they’re looking to meet more often– Wednesday nights and some Saturdays for long runs. If you’re in or around Long Beach, check them out!
