On day four of SOSI, my alarm went off at 5:30 so I could hit the trails early. I hit snooze and the next thing I knew, it was 7 am. I guess I was tired. So no workout that morning.
At 8 am, all of the the Science Olympiad Summer Institute participants posed for a group picture outside. I’ll update this post with the photo once it gets sent out to everyone. I think everyone is starting to show signs of fatigue, this being our last full day of the institute. But, still, we are happy to be getting trained on our events for the upcoming season.

The fact that I started this post last week but didn’t get back to until today is a testament to how busy and tired I was. Sheesh!
Still, I’m glad to have been able to get away for a bit and enjoy lunch with my family at the Falls. I’m glad they’re enjoying their vacation at the resort.
After the afternoon sessions, we left the resort to have dinner at Souplantation’s big brother, Sweet Tomatoes. It was nice change after eating Chipotle for a few days in a row. Can you tell I was happy about my gluten free, plant-based dinner?
After dinner, I went back for the evening session of SOSI. Coaches were given the opportunity to show off and test some of the devices they built during the week. We were also given a preview of some trial events that might be official events in the near future.
As great as this conference is, our schedule sure makes for a long week. After going form 8am to 9:30pm, all of us coaches were feeling the strain.
