Wow. Just like that, my summer vacation is over.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not whining or complaining. I’m just letting reality sink in.

I started summer vacation knowing that it would be shorter by about three weeks since my school district announced that we would be starting school in early August this year as opposed to late August. Ouch!

If a slightly abbreviated summer wasn’t enough, I voluntarily signed up for three conferences/trainings this summer from mid-July to early August.

1. Science Olympiad Summer Institute in Arizona
2. Key Issues Institute in Colorado
3. iOS 1:1 Training in SoCal

Whew! Although I wish I could be hanging out at the beach the rest of the summer, I’m glad that I’ve been given these opportunities. I’m thankful for my Science Olympiad team’s booster club for sending me to #SOSI13. I am also grateful for Alcoa sponsoring my trip to Colorado.

Thankfully, My family and I were able to make the most of summer vacation up to now:

1. We went camping.

2. Painted some walls at home.

3. Rode bikes.
